Introduction and description

Chinese paralytic syndrome, attacks motor nodes of Ranvier and is prevalent in China and Mexico. The pathogen causing the illness attacks the axoplasm of peripheral nerves. The disease may be seasonal and recovery can be rapid. It is marked by the presence of antibodies – the Anti-GD1a antibodies and Anti-GD3 antibodies, which normally indicate viral, bacteriological, parasitic or fungal causes, however, the scope has been extended to consider toxins as well.
