Introduction and description

Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse, which is initiated by one or more persons against another person without that person's consent.

Different types of rape include date rape, gang rape, marital rape, incestual rape, child sexual abuse, prison rape, war rape and statutory rape.  When part of a widespread and systematic practice, rape and sexual slavery are recognized as crimes against humanity and war crimes.

The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority or with a person who is incapable of valid consent. The term is most often defined in criminal law.

         

How it works

This activity produces spiritual experience at the time of the event principally via overwhelming fear and terror, but there can also be an element of fury, overwhelming rage and anger at the violation that has taken place, thus the principal mechanism is emotional overload. 

After the event the principal mechanism is Psychological trauma.

Pain need not be physical pain, it can be emotional pain.  Emotional trauma doesn’t still the senses, it floods the senses.  And emotional pain, or any other extremely high level of emotion,  has the effect of reducing or even eliminating  any form of rational thinking.  And one action guaranteed to provoke this high level of emotion is rape – which produces outrage, anger, fear, terror, panic………. A whole cacophony of emotion.

If we look at this from a logical point of view, what we see is that the Will is being assaulted by a Threat of extraordinary proportions. 

The 5 senses along possibly with the nervous system are telling it that it is in danger, that the threat is both real and enormous.  Thus the Will is being told DO SOMETHING. 

But what if it can do nothing?  If it searches Memory for a learnt function to deal with it, it is likely to find nothing and the Threat is there now, it has no time to learn.  As you cannot avoid the threat – the messages get louder and louder – THREAT ,THREAT ,THREAT.

There is little input from the Reasoning function – after all what can it do?  And the intensity of the messages being sent it from Perceptions is overwhelming – DO SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING!!!  And there comes a point where the Will gives up, exhausted, and lets the Composer take over. 

And we get our spiritual experience.

Psychologists often say that we 'dissociate' in order to avoid the trauma, but the Conscious mind cannot dissociate at will, in reality it is the Subconscious mind that helps us and the dissociation can be in the form of an out of body experience.
