Introduction and description
Yellow nail syndrome, also known as "primary lymphedema associated with yellow nails and pleural effusion," is a name given to a group of symptoms. It principally produces:
- 'pleural effusions' - a chronic cough productive of mucus
- lymphedema - localized fluid retention and tissue swelling and
- yellow malformed nails.
- sinusitus
- wheezing and sometimes chest pain, in extreme cases there may be blood coughed up
Approximately 40% will also have bronchiectasis, in other words permanent enlargement of parts of the airways of the lung.
All the normal causes are implicated - fungi, viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, toxins and parasites, but there is one culprit amongst the causes that seems to stand out and that is Titanium dioxide. Please follow the link.
