A description of the experience
Two ships [Adapted from a poem by Ralph Cushman]
He rang me in the morning
‘Cos he said AM was best
And his voice it seemed like sunrise
Just like sunrise in my breast
All day long his voice it lingered
All day long he stayed with me
And we sailed in perfect calmness
On life’s very troubled sea
Other ships were blown and battered
Other ships were left distressed
But the winds that seemed to trouble them
Brought to me just peace and rest
But I thought of other mornings
With great sadness, when no choice
When I too had loosed the moorings
But had not heard his voice
Then my ship was blown and battered
And my ship was left distressed
And the wind blew long and troubled me
And brought no peace or rest
So I think I know the secret
Learned from many a troubled way
I must talk to him EACH MORNING
If I want a happy day!!!
