Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

The other pieces I have chosen are lyric and beautiful, but this one piece demonstrates what the injury to his brain was like.  Of all the pieces it combines beauty with anguish.  There is harmony and discord - heaven and hell!

As one commentator on the youtube video says "It's a dark, sorrowful but beautiful melody, like a drowning maid, or a vanishing dream".
