Sellers, Peter - Drumming
Type of Spiritual Experience
A description of the experience
Peter’s early career was as a drummer usually with a jazz orchestra, but he also played with his father for ENSA. He was very good at what he did and very happy doing it. In subsequent interviews with journalists, Peter explained that it was the tribal beat that attracted him so much to the drums and the ability to get lost – let go – in the music. The music was both trance inducing and inspirational. ...when Peter played along with bands, he would often toss up the drum sticks with eclat, catch them with a flourish and cry 'See how my hands never leave my wrists'.
