Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

Not a disembodied soul in sight, just one gullible person who wanted to believe.......

A description of the experience

Marchioness Townshend & Maude Ffoulkes
True Ghost Stories

Contributed by Miss Thessel Cochrane

Some time after our mother’s passing, my sister Barbara went to a private séance where the well-known Mr. Vango was the medium, and Barbara’s astonishment may be imagined when he described Mamma exactly as she had been during her last illness, and, more extraordinary still, he was correct in quite trivial details.

We had always insisted upon Mamma looking what we called “beautiful”, it helped us in those sad days to go into her bedroom and admire her embodied daintiness, and one of especial duties was to arrange her still lovely hair in two plaits, and tie it with little ribbon bows. This was especially commented on by Mr. Vango, who also said that Mamma was holding a white Maltese poodle in her arms.
