126. Annihilating Everything but Him
My spirit saw a shining light in the centre of the angelic realm.
The Truth arose from the light with the loveliest of attributes, the most beautiful beauty, and the greatest majesty, coming up to me with his transcendent and holy face, saying, "How can one who negates any creature restrict himself to anything but me?"
I remained in his majesty and beauty, and that is the state of the nearness of nearness, and the union of union. That state remained until he annihilated everything but himself from my thought and my conscience. I remained there, in the essence of the essence, and the reality of reality.
The Truth appeared to me and for me.
He bequeathed me his nearness, and he unveiled his majesty, his beauty, and his speech, in a marvellous place and a perfect ecstasy, with sighs, tears, raving, bewilderment, dancing, clapping, and whirling.
My intimacy, my longing for him, and my love for him increased.
