Sometimes while on long car trips - my husband does all the driving - I have found myself, my awareness, sitting on top of the vehicle. But I usually snap back into myself as soon as I realise what is happening.
One time when I found myself on top of the truck, I noticed an eagle flying right over the top of us. As soon as the thought occurred that it would be wonderful to fly with this eagle I was up there with it, looking down on our pickup, watching it moving along the highway. I thought it was so fantastic when I turned to watch the eagle alongside of me that my next thought was to join with the eagle and become one with it, and - wham! - I was instantly inside the eagle, looking through its eyes. The stretched-out wings were now my wings. This continued for a short time, because my next thought was that I had to tell my husband about this. In the next instant I found myself back in the truck, babbling excitedly to my husband about what had just occurred
