Background

A description of the experience

DELFICA

Le temps va ramener l'ordre des anciens jours;

Delfica

You know it, Dafné, this old romance,
At the foot of the sycamore, or under the white laurels,
Under the olive tree, myrtle or the trembling willows,
This love song that always begins again? ...

Do you recognize the Temple with the immense peristyle
And the bitter lemons where your teeth are imprinted,
And the cave, fatal to the unwary guests
Where the vanquished dragon sleeps the ancient seed? ...

They will come back, those gods for whom you are still crying!
Time will bring order to the ancient days;
The earth trembled with a prophetic breath ...

All depends on the Sibyl with the Latin face
Who is asleep again under the Arch of Constantine
- And nothing has disturbed that severe portal.
