The following purports to be fiction, but I found it interesting because much so called fiction has a basis in fact – why on earth would he write this unless he had had a similar experience? Here the sensory overload is so great he goes ‘out of body’!

My face was buried in the folds of her neck, her legs had started to clamp me, the ashtray toppled off the bed table, the universe followed – but at the same time, incomprehensibly and delightfully, I was standing naked in the middle of the room, one hand resting on the back of the chair where she had left her stockings and panties. The sensation of being in two places at once gave me an extraordinary kick; but this was nothing compared to later developments.....
