In this next case, the subjective sensations we have just mentioned of cold and languor will be found. It is summarized as follows in the Critique des hallucinations (Critique of Hallucinations), published by the S.P.R.
Case IV. - ……, the recipient Miss I. B., then a little girl, saw her own "double" appear, sitting right next to her. The phenomenon repeated itself several times and each time the form appeared seated at her side reproducing at the same time her movements. Such a vision was always preceded by a feeling of cold and followed by a state of extreme languor. This happened again during a period when the recipient was seriously unwell. (Proceedings of the S.P.R., Vol. X, p. 199).
Here we find the sensations of cold and the state of deep fatigue resulting from any vision of the "double", which would justify the conclusion of the probable externalization of something vital outside the confines of the body.
