Background
In many religions – the Hindu religion being one, but there are numerous others in agreement – the main objective of the supreme intelligence is 'creation ' in order that more power in the form of increase in function, is achieved. In some cases the actual act of creation is delegated to other deities.
As a fundamental part of creation, sometimes things have to be destroyed to make way for the new. As such there will be events that affect people to make them unhappy – but these events in these religions aren't 'evil' – they just are – part of the process of creation itself. The Hindu religion has a personification – a god – for both creation as well as destruction.

All the sky gods are creators; they make the world, gods, living beings. Fecundity is only one element in their essential vocation as creators.
