As I happened to be touring through that region, rumours of my clairvoyance reached the parents of the young bride-to-be, and they came for me for advice. I asked them to attend my performance that night together with the prospective groom.

I suspected that something was wrong the instant I saw him, but just to be sure I asked him several questions. He sensed trouble and immediately tried to leave the auditorium.  I cried out for the people to stop and search him. They tied him up and found a great many false passports on his person.

An investigation revealed that he was a member of a well-organized band that provided beautiful young girls for brothels in Argentina."
