B J Laubscher – Where Mystery dwells
Mr. Sch. wrote :
"I could never really believe in life after death. I liked my church and found pleasure in my church activities. But there it ended. The idea of spirit was too intangible for my mind. Then our mother took ill and was in hospital for three months. I visited her regularly before her death. After her funeral that night I slept in the room at home which she had occupied.
I was always a deep sleeper but round about midnight I felt a gentle pressure on my shoulder. It was exercised for a few moments before I fully realized it and woke up wide awake to determine what was the cause of the pressure on my shoulder, when there before my very bed stood my mother.
She was clear and distinct in every feature and surrounded by a beautiful luminosity. She smiled so wonderfully happily at me that I was enraptured by the vision and then while still staring at her she was gone and with that vanished my disbelief."
