Background

A description of the experience

B J Laubscher – Where Mystery dwells

An ex-officer of the Indian Army who wished to remain anonymous wrote to me of an occasion of a dinner party in India.

Towards the end of the dinner Major T. suddenly jumped up from the table and said :-

"My mother is dead," and pointing to some Arum lilies in a vase in the centre of the table, said :- "I can see her in that lily. She is lying in her bed dead."

Then he staggered from the room-got into his trap and drove away. They thought that perhaps Major T. had had a little too much to drink but were reassured on that point when a cablegram arrived from England giving the mother's death at the time when he saw her in the lily.

The source of the experience
