The Art of Dying – Drs Peter and Elizabeth Fenwick
One lady of 97 [in our home] … was of sound mind when she died. During her life at the home she always lived in the present, never talked about the past or her relatives. Just before she died she said her mother was here to visit her; and, that she had to go soon as her mother was waiting in the room, she didn't like to keep her waiting. Many of the residents who have died have said similar things; now we just expect it, we are not too surprised, now. It's still kind of spooky though, isn't it?
