Background
Thomas Borody developed the bismuth-based "Triple Therapy" consisting of bismuth and two antibiotics for treatment of H. pylori in around 1984/5. In 1985, Borody patented the bismuth-based triple therapy. In 1990
Borody's triple therapy became commercialized in the United States under the product name Helidac.
The results below are based on a study. The study was based on bismuth subsalicylate; metronidazole; tetracycline hydrochloride (the active ingredients of Helidac)
