I was very interested to read your notes on vaccines as it is a serious debating issue in the Gullain Barre Syndrome GBS) Support Group – of which I am the New Zealand Group Secretary.

GBS is an autoimmune problem and whilst there is no definitive cause recognised a number of people ( small statistically but probably in the high hundreds, if not thousands) have had their GBS attack triggered by a flu vaccine - in the USA recently a women was awarded a settlement of US$4.5m from a flu vaccine company after she developed GBS following a flu vaccination!

The problem seems to be – just as you say – that there are all sorts of things in vaccines – in the case of the flu vaccine one of them has a DNA profile VERY similar to that of the insulation ( called the myelin) that protects the motor system nerves in the human body – so no big surprise that having been triggered by the adjuvant the old immune system goes looking for anything else and lo and behold finds the myelin and attacks it so stuffing up the motor nerve system in the body.

Most people recover in due course ( I’m living proof) but it can take years for the nerves to recover and some never do!
