A description of the experience

Glimepiride  - is marketed as Amaryl and GLIMY. It is a medium-to-long acting sulfonylurea anti-diabetic drug and is very potent. Side effects include GI disturbance, thrombocytopenia , leukopenia, hemolytic anaemia, occasionally allergic reactions occur. ‘In the initial weeks of treatment, there is a risk of hypoglycemia’. It is a drug from the sulfonylurea class.
