Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

Here we have a good example of the combined effect of fever and pneumonia

A description of the experience

Adventures in Immortality – George Gallup

A middle aged Illinois housewife was very ill with double pneumonia

‘’My fever was 104 degrees – this was about 7 years ago, and here in my own home. I slept most of the time for about the first three days with the fever. The only time I was awake was when my husband would bother me and change sheets on the bed.

Other than that, I would see huge things coming towards me, like animals with baseball bats. Then I’d be in this blue green water, and out in front of me was this huge white marble like rock. At the top of the rock was this bright light, and as I got closer to the rock, I saw an image of a person standing on top of it in white clothing – like a robe. But I couldn’t tell if it was male or female – I couldn’t see the face at all”
