Case No. 182 - James Moore Hickson author of Heal the Sick (Methuen, 1924)

Mrs Aileen H. Cooke, of Torquay, kindly told me of this case.

Mr Hickson told us that he used to help people during (his) sleep.   Sometimes he had clear recollection of this. Once he came back to his body, saw it lying on the bed and did not want to go back to it. He had felt so buoyant and free out of the body. He prayed that he might not have to return. Then he heard: 'My son, you must go back! The work is not finished yet !'

He was sent, in sleep, to help a woman in great distress. She was about to do something she would have regretted ever afterwards. He was able to dissuade her and give her a better outlook. On his way out to Australia they (Hickson and the woman) met on board the boat and they recognized one another. The woman was overjoyed-"It is my Mentor" ... Prior to this they had never met in the flesh.
