One night as a child of eight or so, I was in bed happily falling asleep after a long tiring day. Suddenly I remembered some homework I had forgotten to do and tried to get up out of bed to do it, but I was too tired and heavy to move. So I decided to count to ten, then get up. I got to ten, but again I was just too tired and heavy to move. I tried this another time or two with no result. So I visualized myself getting up and walking over to my little worktable, kind of like a practice run. Then one more time I counted to ten, and this time I got right up and walked over, very easily. I sat down at the table and looked at my books, then noticed a lump in my bed across the room and realised that this lump was a person. Curious, I drew closer. Then I saw my own sleeping face, and with a shock l realized I was looking at myself! Suddenly there was a big bump and I was instantly back in bed looking out of my own eyes.
