Background
The film is interesting in its own right, but it also shows that Charles Wesley often obtained his musical inspiration as 'celestial music' - music and conception complete, and at strange times in the way Beethoven did - in nature.
"on that horse whilst he was riding he would be composing hymns.... but there is one famous ocasion when he jumped off his horse and shouted 'pen and ink! pen and ink!'...... AND IT CAME TO HIM WHOLE AS IT WERE"
