Return to Bicker - John Butler on the Cycle of Life
In 1975 the BBC made a film about John Butler's 'natural' farming method in Lincolnshire - 'Three Acres at Bicker Fen'. He was a pioneer of what became known as 'organic farming'. Forty years later the BBC returned to Bicker to interview John for their 'Witness' program which will be televised in April. In this conversation John talks about natural law and the cycle of life, how modern farming 'steals' from the land, and the rooks who now nest in the ash trees he planted all those years ago, "Make it all worthwhile."
