I have been blind since I was nine years old. My mother bought me your book and would read it to me every night before bed.  I was especially intrigued with the part about crippled people being able to walk during their out of body experience.  She read that  part to me many times, and I decided that if it would work with walking, why not seeing?

Every night as I went to sleep I would walk around the house and feel my way through several rooms.

After a while I became very good at it. During the second week I started to get a buzzing sound in my head and I got excited and woke up. It was in the fourth week that it happened.  I fell asleep and felt paralyzed and heard weird sounds; then it felt like I was being lifted up and out of my body.  I rolled sideways and seemed to fall to the floor and crawled around for a moment.

To my surprise I couldn't see at all and began to actually get mad.  Then I remembered about control and demanding results, so I spontaneously shouted out “I can see now!”  Slowly I began to make out shadowy forms around me.  I shouted again “I see now!”  Everything around me became a little brighter, and I was thrilled.  I stood up and actually looked around.  I could see, even though I knew it had to be dark!  I was so excited I wanted to fly, and suddenly I shot up through the ceiling like a rocket.  Everything was happening so fast it scared me, and I felt like I was jerked back to my body with a jolt
