Love is the Link – Dr Pamela Kircher
A man shared a story that took place during World War II when he was so severely wounded that a medic thought that he was dead. As they were tagging his toe to identify him as a dead man, he found himself out of his body. He tried to grab the medic, but his hand simply went through the medic's body. At that point, he heard the medic tell the doctor that he had felt a breeze and the doctor dismissed him by saying that that was quite a common occurrence. The young soldier drew on all of his strength and moved one finger, thereby letting them know that he was indeed alive.
Meanwhile, he found himself in the presence of the brightest light, but it didn't hurt his eyes. He went through a complete life review. Then he was asked, "What do you have to give?" He didn't think that he had anything to give because he was so young. His sense since then is that love is all we ever have to give. He was then asked if he wanted to go home or to stay. He loved it there, but chose to go because he felt that his mother would be too overwhelmed with sadness if her twenty-one-year-old son died.
