Oxycodone , Oxycodone Hydrochloride , Roxicodone and Oxycontin are opioid analgesics synthesized from opium-derived thebaine. As EROWID states, you must know your product because “Oxycodone preparations may contain analgesics such as acetaminophen, which can be toxic to the liver in high doses”.
The combination oxycodone/paracetamol is sold in the USA under the trade name of combination Percocet and Roxicet
The receptor activity is not yet clear [sic]. Oxycodone is a highly selective full agonist of the μ-opioid receptor (MOR), with low affinity for the δ-opioid receptor (DOR) and κ-opioid receptor.
