The Mystical Life – J H M Whiteman
(February 10, 1955) In a rather dreamlike state, someone drew attention to a baby in bed with me. I turned to the left, fully aware that the state was now one of separation though still seeming to be in bed, and saw the baby, wrapped in a white knitted shawl and with its head on a smallish pillow just to my left. It was of a size as if just born, and it seemed to me that it was really mine. With an intense thrill of mother love I drew it close. The thrill lasted to some extent for several hours afterwards, almost as if I still had the baby in my arms.
