A description of the experience

Mary Rose Barrington, Ian Stevenson and Zofia Weaver, A World in a Grain of Sand: The Clairvoyance of Stefan Ossowiecki,  2005.

Missing Property Case 1: The missing brooch June 1922 (Aline de Glass)  Reported by Mrs. Aline de Glass, Source: Revue Metapsychique 1922 No. 4.

Mrs. Aline de Glass, the wife of a former High Court Judge, wrote her own account describing how Ossowiecki retrieved a lost brooch, and Geley published it under her signature. The language in the Revue Metapsychique toned down,  with talk of miracles and some exclamation marks deleted, but the story is the same.

On Monday 6th June 1922 I lost a brooch in the street. On the same day in the afternoon I visited the wife of General Krieger, Mr. Ossowiecki's mother. I was accompanied by my brother, Mr. Bondy, an engineer, who was an eyewitness to what I am going to relate.

[Ossowiecki suddenly came in, and Mrs. de Glass asked him if he could say anything about the lost brooch. At first he described another brooch of hers, one that was kept in the same box. Ossowiecki then asked to hold something that had been in contact with the lost brooch, and Mrs. de Glass indicated a place on her dress.]

Mr. Ossowiecki put his hand on the bodice of my dress where I showed him and after a few seconds he said:

"Oh yes, I see it clearly'' (and he described it minutely).

"I see, I now see you lost it somewhere a long way from here" (it is true, I was then four kilometres away). “A small, shabbily dressed, dark-haired man with a tiny, trimmed black moustache is bending down to pick it up."

The next evening my brother came to me shouting from the moment he entered, 'A miracle, a true miracle! Your brooch has been found."

Mr. Ossowiecki told us simply what happened, "The next day I met that gentleman. A small, dark-haired man with a tiny trimmed moustache-I recognized him immediately. I talked to him, and in the evening I received the brooch from him, which I now return to You."

In the Revue Metapsychique version the telling detail is included that Ossowiecki encountered the man with the trimmed moustache in his bank the next morning.

One is bound to ask what brought these two people together.
