Background

Daphnis and Chloe

Daphnis goes to the spring near the cave of the Nymphs to wash dirt off his body. As Chloe, helping him wash, looks at his naked body Daphnis suddenly seems beautiful to her and, not knowing that she is falling in love, only knows that she wants to see Daphnis bathe again. During the next days, as she watches Daphnis play the Pan's pipes and bathe again, Chloe begins to feel the emotional restlessness associated with romance and love.

Oh how beautiful your body is when naked
Let me rest my head upon your knee
My heart is yours my lover from far countries
Of clothes we should be always free

Oh how beautiful your body is when naked
Let me put my hands upon your chest
My soul cries out for you each day my sweetheart
And with you and in your heart it rests

Oh how beautiful your body is when naked
Let me put my hands into your own
Let me play with fingers, thumb in softness
This the greatest pleasure I have known

Oh how beautiful your body is when naked
Let me put my hands between your thighs
Play with you, eleventh finger firmness
Let me watch the pleasure in your eyes
