Background
A description of the experience
I was having my normal acupuncture session to try to help me with the blood pressure problem. I felt very relaxed and was in a warm, darkened room, lying on my back and staring up to the ceiling which was white. Overall I was very comfortable, although I was experiencing the normal odd inner cold sensations which seemed to be part of the treatment. They were mostly along my arms and legs.
As the treatment progressed I suddenly became aware of the most gorgeous waves of light moving across in front of my eyes, which were open. At first all pink, great clouds of pink, swirling and extremely pretty. Then a very gentle switch to green, pale lime green, sort of opalescent, but clouds just like the pink ones. Truly lovely. A great wave of peace seemed to be sweeping over me, I felt truly blissful.
After the treatment I must have slept for over an hour. Quite embarrassing really.
