Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

Most of the record that sensory deprivation was used is found in Japanese prints and in particular those for the kabuki theatre.  The actors would impersonate a person able to get spiritual experience or a mythical character who was assumed to be spiritual and in the drawings they were shown having cross eyes.
