Poimandres describes the descent of the soul, which takes on the psychological qualities of each planet, to varying degrees, as it passes down through the spheres. It is these qualities or energies that are summarised in the natal horoscope, which charts the moment at which the soul brings these tendencies into the earthly realm. Each incarnate being therefore sounds, as it were, a different chord of the planetary or psychological harmonies, and it is this that causes musica human (the music of the human being) to resemble musica mundane (the music of the worlds or spheres)
