Grandma's Rocking Chair – by rittmo http://www.songramp.com/mod/mps/viewtrack.php?trackid=87978

I remember my grandma had this beach house
on the front porch facing the ocean wide
there was this old rocking chair
I would spend hours, in the swing and sway of its glide

grandma would always scream, you're going to break that thing
but that old rocking chair, was as tough as grandma
little did either of us know, one day it would be mine
only thing is, these days when I look out, I see the passing of time

I figure I've had regrets
if I didn't, what kind of person would I be
I'd like to say, I'd won all my bets
things don't always work out so perfectly

the sea breeze and me still see eye to eye
there's something about salt water in the air
brings out my inner child
as I sit and sway, in grandma's old rocking chair

sometimes I see old lovers, dancing on the waves
calling me, saying come on in, be brave
perhaps these hallucinations, are in some way
my salvation, a better way to pass the day

I figure I've had regrets
if I didn't, what kind of person would I be
I'd like to say, I'd won all my bets
things don't always work out so perfectly

the sea breeze and me still see eye to eye
there's something about salt water in the air
brings out my inner child
as I sit and sway, in grandma's old rocking chair
