Background

This woman's infant son was seriously ill and she was given the choice as to whether they should operate or not, as the operation carried with it huge risks, she was grief stricken at his illness and possible death,...

A description of the experience

After the surgery, I remember just laying my head down on the side... and I cried till I could cry no more.  I was holding  onto the side of the bed, praying that I had made the right decision, and that if my son lived, that I would do the best I could for him.

All of a sudden this white light bathed my son, and I knew he was going to live.  It was just around my son.  Immediately I knew that everything was alright.  I knew that from that point on my son was going to survive.

I thought I was hysterical at the time, that maybe I had cried so much that I was hallucinating... but I knew, when I saw that light that my son was going to be alright and I stopped suffering.
