Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

Most of the spiritual experiences of paradise gardens in Ancient Egyptian culture [and we do not know if these experiences were out of body or visions] were documented as paintings - works of art in other words - which are full of symbolic features.

These gardens could also have been real - sacred geography

A description of the experience

A garden pool, fragment of a wall painting from the tomb of Nebanum, Thebes, 18th dynasty, around 1350 BC from the British Museum EA 37983

The pool is full of ducks, lotus flowers and tilapia fish, around the pool are palms, papyrus, sycamore fig, mandrakes and other bushes.  In one corner is a tree in which Hathor the goddess is to be seen.
