Background

Ivermectin is a medication that is used against many types of parasites. It is used to treat head lice, scabies, river blindness, strongyloidiasis, and lymphatic filariasis, among others. It can be either applied to the skin or taken by mouth.

Albendazole, also known as albendazolum, is a medication used for the treatment of a variety of parasitic worm infestations. It is used for giardiasis, trichuriasis, filariasis, neurocysticercosis, hydatid disease, pinworm disease, and ascariasis, among others. It is taken by mouth

Abstract

We report a case that experienced psychosis after combination therapy of albendazole and ivermectin. This case report represents the first report of psychosis caused by this combination therapy and its treatment with clonazepam.
