Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

These paragraphs are actually packed with exceptionally important concepts.

Whitehead’s hypothesis assumes that form – the crystals of which the apparently solid world exists – are also being changed constantly as a result of the execution of processes.

Thus the Actual Entity [Aggregate/Atom] has an immortal central core as it were, around which processes are continually executing and thus changing the state of the relationships of that thing, and the appearance of that thing.

In our model the only immortal part of any aggregate/atom is the Higher spirit also known as the Atman or immortal soul [plus any number of other names].

The Higher spirit is itself a part of the Tree of Life [the system of order – the master package].  If we look at the simple picture of the cosmic egg, the ‘elements’ – earth, water, air, fire – are the actual processes of that actual Entity and are forever executing creating ‘time’, recycling the energy and placing the aggregate in a constant state of ‘becoming’.  The Higher spirit resides at the Aether level and is outside spacetime.  But it is within this area out of time that the master package – the system of the universe itself is to be found – in its entirety.

The processes/functions being executed are always part of [copies of] the overall systems of the universe.  When Fifi broadcasts that she has white fur, the concept of white and the concept of fur and the processes that create and broadcast whiteness and fur are part of an existent predefined system, an ordered and inter-related set of processes.

A description of the experience

Part I The Speculative Scheme

Chapter III - Some Derivative Notions ; Section I

'Creativity' …… is divested of the notion of passive receptivity, either of 'form’ or of external relations; it is the pure notion of the activity conditioned by the objective immortality of the actual world— a world which is never the same twice, though always with the stable element of divine ordering.

Chapter III - Some Derivative Notions ; Section III

…..atomism does not exclude complexity and universal relativity. Each atom is a system of all things.

PART II   Discussions And Applications

Chapter I  - Fact And Form ; Section I

The things which are temporal arise by their participation in the things which are eternal. The two sets are mediated by a thing which combines the actuality of what is temporal with the timelessness of what is potential…………..

……….. each eternal object has a definite, effective relevance to each concrescent process. Apart from such orderings, there would be a complete disjunction of eternal objects unrealized in the temporal world. Novelty would be meaningless, and inconceivable. We are here extending and rigidly applying Hume's principle, that ideas of reflection are derived from actual facts.
