A DREAM-PLANE FROM SPAIN
Before his untimely death in 1968, Dr. Barker closely followed the dreams and visions of two London psychics- Lorna Middleton and Alan Hencher-and asked them to call him any time they had an unusual hunch about a disaster.
Hencher, a man in his late forties, often gets a headache when he senses that "something terrible" is going to happen. One night he had a vision that was so disturbing he felt tight bands of pain around his head.
After tossing and turning all night, he phoned Dr. Barker in the morning and gave him the details. He had "seen" a plane crash on an island where there was a church surrounded by statuary. One hundred and twenty-four persons would die. The location, said Hencher, must be Nicosia on the island of Cyprus.
Some weeks later a plane did crash in Nicosia, and 124 persons were killed. The psychic was off in one detail- another passenger died later, making the toll 125. Hencher envisioned only the time of the crash and omitted what led up to it or what happened later. Speaking photographically, his was a still or flash picture of the event, rather than the continuous film vision of a Madame de Ferriem. The dramatic moment of the crash itself was what brought the future vividly to him.
