The Bridge  over the River

Great days are beginning for me now.  The symphonic composition will be performed for the benefit of mankind and for the highest bliss of all of us.  G. (a war comrade), the good fellow will also attend. He came to me at last. It took him a long time; he steadily refused to be sensible and acknowledge that he was devoid of a physical body. All talk was useless; I finally left him alone. But today he came happily to me. I was truly glad; he will come to me often now.

I called together all the others who are close to me so that they may also feel lifted by the work. My thoughts will be with you especially, my dear ones, as it will be only half the joy without you.

The partition of the work is fundamentally different from performances on earth. First come the notes in their sequence, then one constructs the chords by oneself, and then the harmony sounds out of thousands of spiritual beings, who give it various changes and dimensions according to the power of each individual being.

The great songs will follow, many of which I have composed. Songs without words, sung without a larynx, yet with the perfection of sublime experience.

I can hardly tell you what this means. Imagine, for instance, that a thousand glamorous tenors sing one and the same song, and this chorus sounds in its most various sublimations from the highest mountains into the quiet valleys. This may give you an approximate idea of the experience.

Then thoughts, emotions, tones and colours blend together as a finality, divide into groups again, which simultaneously emit their art and power with such force that the heavenly spheres and parts of the earth tremble to their foundations.

These performances last several days by terrestrial time.  I am happy I also was able to compose part of the creation. Only those who possess the capacity and talent may give birth to such works, as is also customary on earth. I had been commissioned to do a large part of the composition with two other souls, and even now I shall have to work hard at the performances.

The preparations begin today, but that is not the beginning by far. I shall tell you as soon as the performances commence.
