A description of the experience
The Bridge over the River
The strings sound brightly, but you do not hear them because you cannot react to these vibrations. We, who are gathering around you, hear this gentle, pure music. You are deaf and blind to everything about you however. Yet, be patient and practice your spiritual exercises until one day your eyes will be opened. All gifts have to be asked for; we, too, pray for them. Through supplication only shall our wishes be granted. You still believe everything happens by itself. Nothing comes of itself, not with you, nor with us.
