some water diviners can find water without a divining-rod. Their hands tingle. So did I tingle when I met the Ladram ghoul. It is a passing of a current of some kind. And since your current is being used when you experience the emotions of the ghoul, you feel cold with it, horribly cold, like you feel before a heavy gale.
