The night her mother died in an accident, Diana Merchant had a nightmare in which she saw ‘the most wonderful starburst or "solar ray", really white light, and I went back to a deep sleep'. She believed that in the 'unbelievably bright light' she had seen her mother's spirit 'ascending to heaven'.
