Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat a number of bacterial infections.[2] This includes bone and joint infections, intra abdominal infections, certain type of infectious diarrhea, respiratory tract infections, skin infections, typhoid fever, and urinary tract infections, among others.

Abstract

A physician experienced an hallucination during the early phase of an acute febrile infection of the urinary tract that was being treated with a cure of ciprofloxacin. He could trace back the visual appearances in the hallucination to elements in a medical journal article that he had read a few weeks previously.
