Background

A description of the experience

The Healing power of Herbal teas – Ceres Esplan

Walnut – Juglans nigra – Black walnut, Jupiter’s nuts.  Walnut trees

Walnut trees and not particularly hardy, it does, however, take a really severe cold winter to kill off well established trees.  Although most people enjoy the fruit, or nuts and others use their green husks as dye plants [with rubber gloves to stop the hands from being dyed as well], it is the leaves that are used to make an herbal infusion.

The old simplers gathered young leaves in early summer when the morning was fresh and dry and dried them off carefully for future use as an unbeatable complexion treatment.

Herbalists use walnut lotion, for an external application to help stubborn eczema, taking care to enquire into their patiet’s diet and changing it so that the complaint is also helped by a a vitamin full but unspiced and sugarless diet
