Type of Spiritual Experience

Background

The TCM system recognises the existence of the fnctions f the body seprate from the organs themselves.  In each species, however, it is an interesting conundrum as to where the software is stored/activated.  It is stored everywhere because it is on every atom, but only activated in certain organs or units of aggregation.  The question is - which aggregates have which functions?

A description of the experience

Lyall Watson – Supernature

The fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster emerges from its puparium but once in its life; it has no chance to learn and practise this activity and yet it operates on a 24 hour schedule.  This natural rhythm must be instructive. Waiting only to be tuned into the environment in order to produce a series of perfectly tuned behaviour patterns.............

If the cockroach Periplaneta americana has its head removed surgically and precautions are taken to keep the insect from bleeding to death, it survives for several weeks.  A headless cockroach eventually starves to death, but while it lives, it continues to move in a random and desultory fashion …......

Janet Harker... found that the suboesophageal ganglion – the tangle of nerves just below the mouth of the cockroach – was the source of the message relating to Circadian rhythms – the natural cycles of light and dark.

The source of the experience
