Once, after completing a reading for a man, Romano turned to the wife and said, quite emphatically, that her mother had been in very poor health in 1913 and moved to the South to recuperate. This woman had not been born at the time, and knew nothing about this. But she rushed upstairs to inquire about this information from her aged mother, who then told her that both she and her husband, the subject's father, had had pneumonia in 1913 and, as a consequence, had been forced to move to North Carolina for a prolonged convalescence!
