I read your article and am glad that someone is taking this as a true experience. When I was in Turkey working about 20 years ago I had an ectopic Pregnancy. I managed to be taken to a women's hospital by one of my English students. They operated on me without any anaesthetic but gave me blood and fluids. During the operation I died, travelled the tunnel, found my grandmother and was told, 'This is not the right time, you must go back.' I re-entered my body with a thud, all the pain and responsibilities returned.
The experience changed my life. For many years, I had no wish to be here as this life appeared to have no advantages, being a constant struggle. But now I realize that there is a reason, as I have some sort of gift and find that I can 'tune in' to people’s feelings, which makes my work with babies understandably easier. I also attract sick or injured cats that stay for a while then move on.
