Symbols - What does heaven look like

Sand

A grain of sand is an atom with its functions.  The 'shore' is then symbolically the place where the atoms/grains become aggregates and thus matter.

The symbolism is also connected with that of the Hourglass.

The hourglass is upended and ‘sand’ will flow back down into the ‘bowl’.  If on the other hand, the Hourglass is turned back on itself, we receive little grains of spirit energy – atoms.

In some symbol systems, sand and grain are symbolically the same.
